A complete ensemble is required for a son's wedding and there is a generous lead time. We talk of Dior fit and flare, fabric and colour preferences. Fabric swatches are sourced, styling presentation prepared and we meet at the client's home. The brief incorporates a dress to dance in, a jacket for the photographs, a diaphanous floating scarf for the evening and perhaps a handbag. We discuss velvets, silks, lace overlays and colours of sea grass, mist, meadow, raspberry and cloud.

Sketching my ideas using selected fabric swatches, we meet at my studio to finalise preferred colours, texture and weave of fabric to consider styled concepts draped on the stand. All is ready....
